Jennifer Oddo is a freelance writer and the author of Mandolyn’s Masquerade, a middle reader fiction previously published in soft cover by Dog Ear Publishing. Her novel will soon become part of the Pie Plate family when it is republished as a 2nd edition, including an extended ending and book club questions for young readers. The 2nd edition release is scheduled to coincide with the release of the Short Film version, currently in post-production with VJM Studios. A feature length film based on her book has also been optioned by the same.

Ms. Oddo is a University of Michigan graduate. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Archaeology (sub-con in English) and a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction. Her experience with the publication of Mandolyn’s Masquerade, along with her background in education, marketing & sales, graphic design and business development, led her to found Pie Plate, where she can give new authors the chance to see their own dreams realized. She is currently the voice of Pie Plate’s official Facebook page and writes the blogs for The Slice.

On December 4, 2012, just in time for the holiday season, she released a children’s picture book Asim the Awesome Possum: Asim Gets His Awesome, the first in a series of colorful picture books intended for classroom instruction. (Intended 36-40 DRA LEVEL Lexile: 780 Flesch-Kincaid: 3.4 Content Lesson: Parts of Speech – Adjectives)). In the Asim Gets His Awesome installment, the main character learns about adjectives. The book is available in hardcover and is fully illustrated by T.S. Lamb.
